Indecision and Mental Performance, Aggressive Mentality, and Being Responsible
Point 1
“Indecision is the decision to fail”; Raymond Charles Barker wrote those words in his landmark book The Power of Decision. Indecision can cost you a little or a lot, and it is a common problem with athletes and everyday people. Simone Biles withdrew from the 2020 Toyko Olympics, citing mental health concerns; this happened after multiple mistakes during the competition. She was torn between prioritizing her well-being and letting down the millions of fans. There is no one way to overcome indecision. My philosophy has become to make a decision and stand behind it. I’ve also learned that decisions rooted in fear rarely pan out. The longer you go without making a decision, it takes a toll on you psychologically. It’s best to decide and move on.
