Building Through Habits

TL;DR — The Habit is the Program

We all want the results of well-formed habits:

  • The six-pack abs.
  • The six-figure retirement fund.
  • The large subscriber base.
  • The business to match.

But we often chase the results more than the habits that create them. You will get the results of your habits, and more of us know that it’s the application many of us struggle with.

I decided a couple of years ago that I would publish daily. That comes with its challenges because life continues even if you want to post content online daily. But the habit has built my writing skills more than any course could. I would tell anyone who has the itch to be a full-time business just to start. No book will teach what experience will.

To achieve a goal or a result, we must habituate it daily.

You can chase business success or any success, and you might get it briefly, but sustaining and replicating it is next to impossible. The way to create consistent results is consistent action in the direction of your goals, habituating the activities, and (more importantly) the mindset needed to achieve the result.
