Complaining won’t change it
We live in a complaining culture.
So much so that we think that if we complain enough it will change the thing we are complaining about. This works on a macro level. Meaning that if millions or even thousands of people complain, things can change. But on a micro personal level, this is a faulty strategy.
When it comes to your life, complaining won't change it.
Stop complaining and take action.
For a few years, I complained about the winters in the Northeast. I love the area as a whole, but the winters can be rough.
I feel like everyone I know has been subjected to my rantings about the rough northeast winters.
So one day, I created a vision board, and I put living by a warm beach on it, among other things.
Every day, I looked at the vision board, and every day I began to repeatedly put the idea into my mind that it could happen I didn’t know when.
Within a year, my family and I were able to move to Florida. The move hasn’t been without its hiccups, but after a month and a half, we are in a place and adjusting to life in warmth. This winter will be a warm one.
How did it happen?
I stopped complaining and did something.
I decided to take control of the one thing we all have control over, our mind.
When you complain, you reinforce the idea that you are a victim. Even if you are a victim, complaining won’t fix it.
Taking action fixes it.
When you take control of your mind and stop conditioning it for failure, you can turn the tide.
Things came together, and I got a remote job that allowed me to work anywhere.
No matter how bad things get, make sure that you take hold of your mind and thoughts. Don’t go with the flow but rather create a
new flow with your ideas.
If you find yourself in a rut, create 3–4 new thoughts that are comparative to your desired goal.
If you want to lose weight, start thinking new thoughts like this:
“I eat a healthy diet”
“I work out regularly”
“I am at my ideal weight”
If you are struggling financially: start thinking new thoughts such as these:
“I am managing my finances very well”
“I create new streams of income that ends with money in my pocket”
“I make great money decisions”
Just think about the type of outcome and begin to think in that way.
Again, complaining won’t change it.
Once you change your thinking, the actions will become apparent. You will start making better decisions, and the right path will be made clear.
