If You’re Stuck on a Business Idea, Do What Works

When it comes to starting a business, you should ultimately do what you love. That is the most sustainable and enjoyable path for everyone. I’ve been miserable in a job, and I don’t wish it on anyone; however, I think doing what works is the short-term answer for anyone looking to break out of their job and go full-time.

Playbook Principle #5 is faith. We tend to have more faith in things we have done and have done for a long time. When you’re in a position where you want to get out of a job within a year, it’s best to do what you know works.

This doesn’t mean that what worked yesterday will work today. But you can leverage your knowledge to create a new solution.

When I started working out daily, I was overwhelmed by all the options, including trainers, courses, videos, and books. When you go to the gym, there are unnumbered machines and equipment to use, which leads to not taking action.

I tried a few things, but I settled on walking; why?

It’s sustainable

I can do it until I’m 80 or even older; it’s low-cost (a standard $25–30 gym membership covers it, and on warm days, I can walk outside), and I can do it anywhere.

It was a no-brainer.
