Most of us have been there.
The day you realize, “I can’t do this anymore.”
It’s a realization you can’t take lightly when you know it’s time to leave your 9–5 job. If you aren’t there, this article is not for you; it’s for the person on the fence. Hopefully, this list helps.
- You lost that loving feeling — When we start a job, we often love what we’re doing, especially if we want that job. It feels like a dream job. Then you wake up. And love turns to hate. Add in demanding bosses, even more demanding customers and these factors chase enthusiasm out the door. When the love leaves, you may need to follow it.
- No balance in your life — I’ve had difficult jobs, but at least I could leave the work at work. But in the remote age, work doesn’t just follow you home; it’s waiting for you in the next room. Companies are losing workers like no other time in our history. Simple math tells you there are fewer people to do the work, which means a higher workload. When you don’t have time to unwind and maintain your health, relationships, and peace of mind, it’s time to consider a change.
