But all of us did not do that for one reason or another. Maybe in your 20s, you were broke, but family and friends around you were in even more financial trouble. So you helped them. Maybe you have health challenges that wiped out your savings, a divorce that cleaned you out, a breakup that cost you everything. And now you’re much older and wiser (hopefully) but behind financially.
The reason that the compound effect works is it leverages time. Small investments over a long period produce a large amount of money. But what if you don’t have 40 years, or maybe you want to catch up to where you would be if you started at 25, as all of the experts suggest.
The compound effect doesn’t just work in stock investing; it works in business too. It has never been easier to start your own business. All you need a product or service, and you are in business. That is the easy part. The challenging part is getting people to your site or social media page that want to buy.
