The Seven-Day Mental Diet

Can you go 7 days without a negative thought?

As we start a new year, it makes the most sense to reevaluate everything in our lives. If you’re not where you want to be, the goal should be to look at what is not working and change it.

Years ago, I stumbled upon an author, Emmet Fox, who was a metaphysical teacher in the 1950s; he had written several books which I still come back to today, one of those books is called The 7-Day Mental Diet, in which he challenges people to completely change their thinking for 7 days and to see the result.

I’ve tried this before. I only made it one day.

It’s hard.

But I didn’t think at that time how powerful this exercise could be.

Our minds are going at warp speed, and the busier you are, the faster your mind goes. The quality and quantity of the average human being’s thoughts determine their quality of life.

I think about work, money, and my family when I wake up. Most of these thoughts are in a worried energy and state.

The problem is that what I think is what I create, and how I think is what I become. If I don’t do something about my thought life, it will negatively affect my actual life.
