Working Toward Your Passion
Everyone can’t quit their job, but this is your reminder to not neglect your passion
If you have no passion for it, it’s not worth your time.
The ages-long debate has been whether I should do what I love or focus on making money. The logical answer is both; it is what I’ve subscribed to for a long time. But invariably, the urge (and need) to make money takes over, and we end up focusing solely on raking in the cash.
Hopefully, I don’t have to tell you how unhealthy that is. Most Americans are not engaged at work; this is a direct product of a mass of people not working in their passion.
Passion is about work that you would do no matter the pay. So as a general rule, what would it be if you could do anything no matter what your financial demands were?
For most people, that answer is not their current job or business. If you are making money, it’s not my place to tell you to quit what you’re doing now to chase a passion. I’m currently working a job I’m not passionate about, but I am making time to do things I love. In time, those things will be the main thing.
Why is doing what you love a good thing?
There’s energy in passion.
