You Create Your Life as You Go

You don’t need to have it all figured out right now

Sometimes we want all the answers at one time. But that is:

a) usually not how it works
b) not the way to get what you want.

In The Power of Decision, Raymond Charles Barker talks about how indecision stops people from taking action.

I can relate all too well.

I’ve wasted years being indecisive in business, relationships, and life. The indecision came from not knowing what to do. It wasn’t until reading this book that I realized knowing what to do is sometimes overrated.

Instead of waiting for total clarity (which rarely happens initially), we are better off starting from what we want to do and letting that desire guide us.

Some of the best advice could (and probably will) be obsolete by this time next year.

Am I saying “don’t read”? Of course not; you’re reading this after all. But I had to learn it’s not about having all the answers; it’s trusting my ability to create.

When we moved to our last place, we had a specific list of things we wanted: a pool, more convenience, more space, including a room for an office and a affordable price. We put all of these things in a Google…
