Your Mind Should Work For You
For the longest time, I had trouble focusing. Those issues come back now and then, but I know how to handle them.
Your mind is a potent tool. But we often need to remind ourselves that:
- We are not our mind
- We can change our thoughts at any time
Whenever a person has trouble focusing, it comes from a lack of mental control. Think of your mind as a corporation full of employees. The Master Key System (written by Charles Haanel) describes your mind as having millions of employees, which we call brain cells, and without a clear purpose and direction, they will do anything. Often, these employees will begin building things you don’t want.
Your employees work for you, and they need to earn their keep.
The answer is simple, take back control of your greatest asset. If all you have is a dollar in your bank account, but you have your right mind, you can come back from anything.
I watched a video today about Mike Black, a man who challenged himself to make a million dollars starting from nothing. Black is already a millionaire, but he made himself poor and homeless to inspire people to start where they are.
